Travel Tips of Items to Bring

  • Current Passport and Photocopy

  • Trip Insurance (optional) Allianz Co. highly recommended

  • Small carry on suitcase 20-22" size to carry 30 lbs

  • Backpack that can carry up to 10 lbs.

  • H20 shoes (best with closed back)

  • Hiking boots (best with ankle support)

  • Flip flops (optional)

  • Camera (optional) and waterproof even better

  • Binoks (optional)

  • Earplugs (optional)

  • Small dry bag (optional)

  • Probiotics (optional)

  • Citronella bug repellent or other choice

  • Lip sunscreen

  • Lightweight breathable rain jacket

  • Sunhat

  • Sunglasses

  • Suntan lotion

  • Empty H20 bottle

  • DRY-fast clothes Cotton takes longer in the rainforest

  • Lightweight sweater as it gets chilly in San Jose (1st/last night)

  • First aid kit (optional)

  • Electrolytes

  • Snacks (if necessary) They feed us very well, but if you have a certain dietary need.

  • Nicuesa and Xandari have nice soap. Everything is biodegradable so only bring this kind.

  • Cash ~$200

  • Sunscreen

  • Zip off hiking pants or other lightweight pants for hiking

  • Fanny pak (optional)

  • Zip lock baggies - Important since its humid, very good for your
    documents

  • Rashguard shirt

  • Socks maybe 6 pr (we put on socks to dine)

  • Sweatband or bandana (optional)

  • Yoga clothes - 2 or 3 sets

  • Bathing suit - 1 or 2

  • Shorts - 2 or 3

  • Shirts, long-sleeve - 1 or 2 with or without bug off and UV

  • Shirts, short-sleeve - 2-3
